prices and shipping costs
Orders will be processed as quickly as possible. There is no obligation to adhere to a specific delivery date. All prices quoted are final prices and include VAT. We expressly reserve the right to change prices. We deliver our titles to you at the prices valid on the day of delivery. The specified EURO prices include German VAT. Our export prices correspond to the German retail price. Breakdowns, strikes, traffic and other obstacles for which the Goethe-Verlag is not responsible release the publisher from fulfilling the contract. If you want a special form of dispatch (such as registered mail, airmail, courier, etc.), we will invoice you for the costs incurred.
Payment terms
Payments are to be made without deduction within 30 days of receipt of the invoice by bank transfer or check. In the case of payments from abroad, all bank charges are borne by the payer. In the event of default in payment, the publisher is entitled to charge reminder fees and default interest at the usual bank rate. New customers and customers who repeatedly pay our invoices too late will be supplied with an advance invoice. In accordance with Section 455 of the German Civil Code, all goods supplied remain the property of our publisher until they have been paid for in full.
Shipping costs
All shipping costs, including the expenses for subsequent deliveries, are to be borne by the customer from the publisher. The following shipping costs are added to the item prices for each shipment:

Teacher test pieces Teacher
test pieces can only be ordered with proof of the school stamp. According to the Book Price Fixing Act, publishers are no longer permitted to hand over teacher's handpieces. This does not affect teachers' exams, which continue to be handed in for testing for introduction to lessons with a 20% discount.
Reservation of non-availability
If a title is out of stock or not available for other reasons, there is no entitlement to an execution of the order.
Reservations
Orders for titles that have not yet been published or that are temporarily unavailable are automatically reserved. The reserved titles will be delivered when they appear regardless of the elapsed time, unless unsubscribed.
Conclusion of contract / right of withdrawal
You can place your order by letter, fax or email. The purchase contract is concluded when we accept your order by sending the goods. We usually process your order within a few working days.
Returns
A return does not release you from the obligation to pay. Returns and exchanges of permanently purchased goods are only possible on condition that this has been approved in writing by the publisher in advance. For return inquiries, the document number and the document date must be given. Unapproved returns can be re-delivered freight collect. A prerequisite for taking back is that the goods arrive at us in a salable condition. All returns are at the expense and risk of the sender until they are received by us. If you return goods that we have mistakenly delivered incorrectly, we will reimburse you for the return costs. Please do not send the goods back to us freight collect, but with sufficient postage.
privacy
The customer agrees to the collection, processing and use of personal data insofar as it is necessary for the establishment, content or modification of the contractual relationship with him for the use of teleservices (so-called inventory data) and for billing (so-called billing data). The customer also agrees to the collection, processing and use of data on the use of teleservices insofar as this is necessary to enable the customer to use teleservices (so-called usage data). The customer consents to the processing and use of the inventory data for the purposes of advice and advertising by Goethe-Verlag.
Applicable law
German law applies to the exclusion of the UN sales law.
Location of execution and court is Munich. Revocation and changes to our terms and conditions are reserved.
Final
clause Should a clause of these general terms and conditions be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining clauses remains unaffected. In such a case, the contracting parties are obliged to contribute to the creation of provisions through which a legally effective result that comes as close as possible to the ineffective provision is achieved. The same applies in the event of a loophole in the contract. Revocation and changes to our terms and conditions are reserved.
